What We Believe

WHAT IS OUR BIBLICAL PURPOSE?

Our biblical purpose includes the sharing of the Good News of Salvation through Jesus Christ; Worship, Missions, Community Service, and Spiritual Growth.

We hold the following beliefs with many other Christians:

*There is One True God, revealed to us in the Holy Bible; and through

His Son, Jesus Christ.

*The Trinity reveals God to us in a tri-unity: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

*Jesus Christ is the true Savior of humanity, and salvation is found in

no one else.

*The Bible, the true basis of our Faith, contains all things necessary for life and salvation.

*The Nicene and Apostles’ Creeds are the Statements of Faith of the undivided Church.

*The sacraments of Baptism and Holy Communion, and another five commonly called sacraments (Marriage, Confirmation, Holy Orders, Penance, and Unction).

*The historic episcopate, the continuity of the line of Bishops since the time of Christ is an integral part of the undivided Church, from throughout the centuries.

It has been said that the Anglican Church rests on three pillars: Faith, Reason, and Tradition. Each is under the authority of Sacred Scripture.

Our Vision Statement

We are called to uphold and proclaim the Apostolic Faith,

follow the teachings of Jesus Christ

and be committed to proclaim the good news of the Gospel

to everyone we meet.

We believe the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testament

contain all things necessary to salvation.

Scripture is the rule and ultimate standard of faith.

We will gather weekly to hear the Gospel,

share the sacraments of Baptism and Communion,

take part in fellowship and offer the saving grace

of the Resurrected Christ to all we meet.

We are to accept with thanksgiving the Gifts of the Holy Spirit

that we might share God’s Blessings with others.
